tidbits list of best Firefox add-ons
Note: Just press 'F5' if you find the layout messy.
Here are list of Firefox add-ons which I love; Hence, let's call them tidbits list of best 'n' Firefox add-ons.
Firebug
|
Nothing beats it! As a hobbyist web developer, I love it! It's just, *amazing tools* brought together. You call yourself a web developer and you don't understand firebug, then better never anymore call yourself a web developer. Need say more? |

Padma

What would life have been but for Padma, in Indic society? Without Padma, it's a hell lot of pain to swim that ocean of proprietary custom fonts out there on the web. Be it news papers, literature hosts, weeklies, monthlies whatever, it's all (made) easy now. Thanks to Padma! |
Foxmarks
|
|
This is for people who ride a life on 2+ machines. or, 2+ OSs. It simply syncs all your bookmarks and saved passwords on all those machines/accounts. I never again worried about them(I only prefer syncing bookmarks) ever since I'm a foxmarks user. Signing up Yet Another Account(YAA) for Yet Another Service(YAS) is the only thing I don't vote for.
Update(17-02-2009): It has Turbo tags suggestion for bookmarks, it's quite handy for people who bookmark a lot! |
Session manager

We are, more often than not, lazy sloths piling bully hoards up, in browsing the web. What do we do if something goes wrong? |

Hmm! Being a novice English speaker, I often find myself looking up most stupid things on online dictionaries. That's when answers addon found me! And that's where my chores for meanings ended and my life has been happy ever after. It's just a click on the word, and we get the meaning or some very relevant content about the word/phrase, on the SAME page, in a MINI window. |
Twitterfox
|
This has one of those *cool* factors in it. I love twitter and I hate it too. That's why I (don't) use twitter. I (don't) confuse no one. Did I (not)? Oook! That's enough! Anyway if you are a firefoxian for micro blogging, just say, "Jai Twitter! Jai Jai Twitterfox!!" |

Diigo

I have recently stepped into this one. Vey very interesting! Login with your Gmail/Yahoo! account(ufff! no YAA for this YAS!) and start annotating the web and build a library of your own! It's very useful to keep track of just the essentials in the pages we browse through. It has blogging and other tools integrated. I think I('ll) love it! I dint try Zotero yet, but seems it's a good one too, with similar features. |
